WESCO Will Give Back to Veterans at NAEP Conference

Stay Informed

Next week’s National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP) conference in San Antonio, Texas, will give WESCO a special opportunity. On Tuesday, May 24, our Government and Institutional team will sponsor the event’s annual community service project to benefit Soldiers’ Angels.

This year’s project will involve preparing boxed lunches for the non-profit organization, who will donate them to the Veterans Administration Medical Center for homeless or low-income veterans in the San Antonio area. Lunches will also be distributed at VA stand downs, which are full-day, full-service events for homeless veterans.

Soldiers’ Angels was selected for this year’s project in honor of May being Military Appreciation Month. The organization offers support to current and former military members and their families. Conference attendees may contribute a financial donation to the organization or bring items that can be included for overseas care packages. Gum, candy, paper, pens and chargers are some preferred items. You can learn more about the initiative on NAEP’s website.

Where to Find Us at the Conference

Before sponsoring the project, our team will partner with Legrand for the conference trade show. Both groups will exhibit at booth 205 Monday from 5–7:30 p.m. and again Tuesday from 1–2:30 p.m. They will explain how attendees can enhance their procurement process and improve how they maintain and manage their buildings and grounds.

They’re also preparing for quite a crowd. The conference is expected to attract more than 400 procurement professionals representing two- and four-year institutions, as well as public, private, research and K-12 school districts.

Register now for the conference, and be sure to visit our booth!
